Marvelous Melmo

At just nine years old, Melmo Watari faces the daunting responsibility of caring for her two younger brothers, Totoo and Touch, following the devastating loss of their mother in a car accident. Struggling to maintain a semblance of normalcy, Melmo finds herself navigating the challenges of childhood while also stepping into the role of caretaker.

Observing from the afterlife, their mother, deeply concerned for her children's well-being, chooses to make a final appearance as a ghost. She gifts Melmo a jar filled with magical candies, each capable of transforming her into an adult or any animal she desires. Armed with this extraordinary ability, Melmo dons various disguises, embracing the perspective of a 19-year-old as she juggles her responsibilities with the desire to create joyful experiences for her brothers amidst their grief.
