Mermaid Forest

In a realm where the legend of mermaids intertwines with the quest for immortality, Yuta and his companion Mana find themselves ensnared in a dark tale that spans centuries. Having consumed mermaid flesh, Yuta has lived for over 500 years, while Mana's fate is precariously linked to the perilous allure of eternal life that many seek yet few survive. The consequences of this pursuit often lead to grotesque transformations, reminding them of the grim price of their choices.

Fifty-five years prior, Towa Kannagi, desperate to escape death, was granted mermaid blood by her sister, Sawa. While this gift preserved Towa’s youth, it left her with a monstrous arm and an unquenchable desire to regain her former self. Her obsession drives her to unsettling extremes, including blood transfusions from the deceased, with the aid of the local doctor, Shiina. When Shiina mistakenly believes Mana to be dead and prepares to use her blood, the revelation of Mana’s survival sets off a whirlwind of desperation and moral dilemmas. As Towa's ambitions threaten to consume both her and Mana, Yuta races against time to intervene and confront the dark legacy of their choices.
