Summer in Fuyuki brings a welcome lull for Illyasviel von Einzbern after the Class Cards have been collected. With Miyu Edelfelt at her side, she finally gets a chance to step away from magical girl duties and simply enjoy time with friends.

That peace doesn’t last. Illya and Miyu are suddenly taken by Rin Tohsaka and Luviagelita Edelfelt, who deliver troubling news from the Clock Tower: the mana believed to be sealed away is still leaking across the city. Sent to the source of the disturbance, the two are charged with investigating and putting a stop to the anomaly.

When they attempt to resolve it, Illya’s spell goes disastrously off-course—splitting her into two. As her other self bolts into town, Illya is left to chase down the rogue doppelgänger and face whatever consequences its appearance may bring.
