Wake Up, Girls! The Movie

Green Leaves Entertainment has hit rock bottom for a talent agency: it doesn’t have a single performer to represent. With the company on the line, president Junko Tange turns her attention to the female idol scene and orders her beleaguered employee Matsuda to secure an idol group—no matter what it takes, even if that means assembling one from nothing.

Tasked with scouting in a world where most promising singers are already spoken for, Matsuda starts gathering whoever he can find: a girl working at a maid café, a former lead vocalist recently pushed out of another group, even a 13-year-old with untapped potential. They begin far from the spotlight, but through persistence and practice, Wake Up, Girls! The Movie follows their first steps toward becoming a name audiences might finally notice.
