Stand By Me Doraemon

Nobita Nobi is an elementary schooler who avoids studying, struggles at sports, and rarely commits himself to anything. Timid, unlucky, and easily pushed around, he seems headed for a disappointing future—one that even impacts the generations that follow.

To change that outcome, his great-great-grandson Sewashi arrives from the 22nd century, startling Nobita by popping out of his desk drawer with Doraemon, a blue robotic cat. Doraemon has been tasked with guiding Nobita toward a happier life, using an array of futuristic tools pulled from his four-dimensional pocket. When Doraemon tries to return home after seeing just how dire Nobita’s situation is, Sewashi triggers a built-in program that keeps him from leaving, forcing Doraemon to remain and continue helping Nobita.
