Space Battleship Yamato 2199: Odyssey of the Celestial Ark

In the year 2199, the battleship Yamato sets out on a critical mission to return to Earth after acquiring the powerful "Cosmo Reverse System" on the distant planet Iscandar. However, the crew soon encounters a formidable force known as "Gatlantis," led by the imposing commander Goran Dagaamu of Thunder. As tensions rise, Dagaamu demands the surrender of Yamato, prompting the crew to make a hasty escape. Yet, they find themselves under attack from a devastating weapon known as the "Flame Direct Attack Cannon," which transcends the very fabric of space.

In the chaos, Yamato becomes lost in a bizarre, vividly colored dimension. With their situation precarious, the crew decides to power down the ship and investigate a mysterious planet that appears before them. A team consisting of Kodai, Kiryū, Sawamura, Niimi, and Aihara descends to the surface, only to discover an unexpected ship that should not exist. Meanwhile, Dagaamu relentlessly pursues the traces of Yamato’s warp, revealing that the very planet the crew has landed on holds secrets he has been seeking all along.
