Synopsis
Kashi no Ki Mokku reimagines the classic tale of Pinocchio through the journey of a naive wooden doll brought to life by a mystical blue fairy. Mokku, as he is known, is not just a figure of innocence; he embodies a range of flaws that challenge his quest for humanity. His journey is marked by moments of selfishness, insensitivity, and a tendency to trust too easily, all of which he must confront to earn his place among humans.
As Mokku navigates a world filled with trials and tribulations, he faces numerous hardships that test his resilience and moral compass. From being bullied and humiliated to experiencing the harsh realities of life, Mokku’s experiences serve as poignant lessons in growth and self-awareness. This narrative captures the essence of traditional Japanese storytelling, emphasizing the importance of moral fortitude and the ability to learn from one's mistakes in the face of adversity.
