Space Battleship Yamato: The New Voyage

In the year 2201, the legendary battleship Yamato embarks on a new chapter following a harrowing confrontation with Emperor Zordar and the Comet Empire. As veterans Sanada, Aihara, and Shima emerge from their recovery, they gather at Okita's memorial to honor their fallen comrades. There, they encounter Tasuke, the son of Tokugawa, who eagerly anticipates joining the crew after graduating from cadet school. His excitement, however, leads to an amusing mishap on the day of his graduation when he accidentally capsizes a boat full of fellow cadets, distracted by the majestic sight of the Yamato.

Despite some initial setbacks during its launch—primarily caused by a rookie crew's missteps—the Yamato sets off on what is intended to be a straightforward training mission. As the crew navigates the challenges ahead, they prepare to face not only the rigors of space travel but also the heavy memories of their past battles.
