Attacker You!

Attacker You! follows the spirited journey of 13-year-old You Hazuki, a junior high school girl who relocates from Osaka to Tokyo to live with her father, Toshihiko, a cameraman returning from Peru. You's life is colored by her aspirations in volleyball and a complicated family dynamic, especially with her younger brother Sunny, who is inseparable from her side. As she navigates her new surroundings, she finds herself intrigued by Kyushi Tajima, a glamorous volleyball commentator, sparking curiosity and tension in her relationship with her father, who reacts strongly whenever she brings her up.

With dreams of representing Japan on the national women's volleyball team at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, You joins her school's girls' volleyball team, quickly rising to prominence despite the harsh coaching style of her homeroom teacher. Along the way, she develops a fierce rivalry and unexpected friendship with Nami Hayase, a former volleyball champion, as both girls find themselves on opposing professional teams. Amidst the trials of competition, You also grapples with her feelings for So Takiki, the captain of the boys' team, striving to balance her athletic ambitions with her budding romance.
