Kokoro's school is collaborating with another institution to host a unique bazaar, giving everyone the chance to find new homes for gently used items. On her way home, Kokoro receives an exciting message from Elder Tama: she and her Cocotama friends have won a trip to Cocotama World, where they will witness the vibrant lives of fully-fledged Cocotama gods. Elder Tama enlists Kokoro's assistance to help humans appreciate the value of their belongings instead of carelessly discarding them. However, the adventure takes an unexpected turn when Tepple secretly enters Cocotama World and steals a crucial acorn that unlocks the Happy Tree, the source of magic for their realm.

As a result of Tepple's actions, a dark rift opens, leading to an overwhelming mushroom infestation in Cocotama World, fueled by negative emotions from abandoned items. Happy Stars begin to leak into the human realm, draining magic and spreading chaos. To restore balance and save both worlds, Kokoro and her Cocotama companions must mend Tepple's heart before the encroaching darkness overwhelms them all.
