Detective Conan Movie 21: The Crimson Love Letter

In autumn, Nichiuri TV is rocked by a bombing during the filming of the Satsuki Cup, the tournament that determines Japan’s Hyakunin Isshu champion. As the studio erupts into chaos and the building goes up in flames, Heiji Hattori and Kazuha Tōyama are trapped inside until Conan Edogawa arrives in time to help save them—while the bomber’s identity and motive remain a mystery.

Amid the aftermath, Conan encounters Momiji Ooka, a poised Kyoto high school karuta champion who introduces herself as Heiji’s “fiancée.” With Kazuha set to face Momiji in Hyakunin Isshu, she begins intense training under Heiji’s mother, Shizuka, an accomplished karuta player. Soon after, the reigning Satsuki Cup champion is found murdered at a home in Arashiyama on Kyoto’s outskirts, with photos placing Momiji at the scene and karuta cards scattered around the victim.

Conan and Heiji join forces with the Osaka and Kyoto police to unravel the bombing and the tournament-linked killing. As the investigation tightens around the Satsuki Cup, a hidden truth tied to Hyakunin Isshu begins to surface.
