Kino's Journey: Tower Country

Kino wakes from a brief rest and is comforted to find a distant tower still standing, rising from the center of the Tower Country in a column so tall it seems to vanish into the sky. Dreamlike as it appears, the structure is undeniably real, drawing Kino and Hermes—their talking motorcycle—toward it for a closer look.

In the town below, the tower’s construction continues even though it already defies belief. Curious about how it began and why it must keep growing, Kino and Hermes ask the locals, only to find that clear answers are hard to come by. As they linger and watch both the endless work and the people devoted to it, they search for meaning in a place where effort itself seems to be the point.
