Mameneko captures the charming and whimsical experiences of Azuki, a spirited female cat with a penchant for mischief, and Daizu, her more reserved male counterpart. Together, they navigate the delightful chaos of their everyday lives alongside their owner, a dedicated office worker in her thirties, and her quirky family members.

Among the household is an elder brother who immerses himself in otaku culture and an adopted Shiba Inu who, despite his canine nature, wholeheartedly believes he is one of the felines.
