Peace has finally settled over the human world, and the Chosen Children continue living alongside their partner Digimon. Taichi Yagami and Yamato Ishida, together with their friends, still feel responsible for protecting what they fought for—yet each of them has begun moving toward a future that extends beyond their days as Chosen Children.

That fragile calm is shaken when Menoa Bellucci, an American professor focused on Digimon research, arrives with troubling reports: Chosen Children across the globe have been discovered in comas, and their Digimon partners have vanished. Her findings point to a new kind of Digimon, Eosmon, lurking deep within the internet. With time running short and their paths drifting apart, the group must reunite and face the threat together, perhaps for the final time.
