Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045

In 2045, breakthroughs in artificial intelligence have reshaped geopolitics into an era of “sustainable” conflict, where governments lean on AI-driven weapons and perpetual proxy wars to keep their economies running. Major Motoko Kusanagi and the mercenary outfit GHOST operate comfortably within this new military order—until the pace of technological progress hints at something far more destabilizing on the horizon.

After leaving Public Security Section 9, Kusanagi and her team take on missions across the world tied to these manufactured battlefields. A routine assignment to track down an arms dealer, however, pulls GHOST into a concealed struggle involving cybernetically augmented individuals who display inexplicable leaps in intelligence and physical capability. Labeled “post-humans,” their appearance triggers events that bring Section 9 back together, tasking Kusanagi and her reformed unit with stopping a crisis that could throw the world into chaos.
