InuYasha the Movie 3: Swords of an Honorable Ruler

After Inu no Taishou’s death, his famed blades were divided between his sons: Tenseiga to Sesshoumaru and Tessaiga to Inuyasha. Yet a third sword exists. While visiting Kagome Higurashi in the modern era, Inuyasha comes across Sounga—an heirloom kept at the Higurashi shrine after one of Kagome’s ancestors discovered it within the old well that links the present and the feudal past. The weapon quickly proves it isn’t a simple relic, revealing an evil presence driven by a violent urge to kill.

Inuyasha wrestles with Sounga’s destructive will and carries it back to the Sengoku period, where Sesshoumaru—long intent on claiming the blade—moves to take it for himself. When their clash causes Sounga to slip out of reach, the brothers race to recover it, unaware of the deeper secret tied to the sword and the legacy their father left behind.
