The Honor Student at Magic High School

A century after “true magic” moved from legend to everyday technology, Japan’s First National Magic University Affiliated High School—one of the country’s nine elite magic academies—sorts its students by entrance exam results. Those placed in Course 1 proudly call themselves “Blooms,” while Course 2 students are dismissed as “Weeds,” creating a sharp divide within the school.

Siblings Miyuki and Tatsuya Shiba enter First High on opposite sides of that system: Miyuki earns a place in Course 1 as an honor student, while Tatsuya is assigned to Course 2. Determined to challenge the school’s assumptions, Miyuki sets out to prove that her brother’s low ranking doesn’t reflect his true ability.

Mahouka Koukou no Yuutousei revisits the events of Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei through Miyuki’s perspective, with additional focus on her and other female characters.
