Takane's Bicycle

In a quest for a new bicycle, 11-year-old Takasumi Takane faces unexpected challenges when his exam results fall just short of his goal, landing him in 112th place instead of the coveted top 100. To maintain his facade, he deceives his mother about his ranking and destroys his answer sheets in a panic. Meanwhile, a mishap involving his sister Tamaki’s old bicycle fuels their sibling rivalry, leading Takane to view her as a burden. A fateful encounter at a shrine while searching for his lost dog, Chris, introduces him to a mysterious young man named Yoyogi, who holds the key to Takane’s deception.

Yoyogi possesses an answer sheet marked “92nd” and proposes a deal with dire stakes: in exchange for the paper, Takane must part with something he no longer values. In a moment of frustration, he jokingly offers his sister Tamaki, who then becomes an ethereal object after Yoyogi’s intervention. Realizing the gravity of his actions, Takane resolves to rescue her, but the only way to do so is to win a race against Yoyogi using his broken bicycle. As the race looms, Takane must confront his choices and find the determination to save his sister.
