AMAIM Warrior at the Borderline

In a near-future Japan scarred by a past conflict, the country has been carved into four armed zones controlled by rival foreign powers. The Boundary War—once fought using humanoid mecha known as AMAIM—may have ended, but the tension never truly faded, and ordinary Japanese citizens live under harsh oppression as competing factions vie for dominance.

Sixteen-year-old orphan Amou Shiiba has been quietly restoring a deserted AMAIM called Kenbu when he crosses paths with Gai, an autonomous AI running out of power. Their decision to help each other pulls them into a dangerous incident that leaves Amou branded a terrorist and pushed to the margins. Refusing to accept the injustice around him, he sets out on a difficult path shaped by conflict and newfound allies, shifting from simply wanting a quiet life to fighting for Japan’s freedom.
