In a world where rising sea levels have drastically reduced the human population, androids have taken on the roles of laborers and entertainers, allowing humanity to shift its focus elsewhere. Within this new society, Babel stands as a towering venue where participants engage in captivating performances of song and dance, vying for the audience's approval to ascend its levels and earn prize money. However, the competition is fierce, and not everyone can reach the heights of success.

Faced with impending disconnection due to unpaid bills, androids Cobalt, Chrom, Neon, and Kei decide to try their luck as Babel climbers. Their journey begins with a chance encounter with a mysterious choreographer who offers them a chance to learn a winning routine. With the support of their human friend, Esora Shibaura, they form the group KNoCC and set out to navigate the challenges of performance, audience expectations, and the prejudice against androids in their quest for glory and acceptance in the spotlight.
