Mecha-Ude: Mechanical Arms

Hikaru Amatsuga’s quiet routine is shattered when he comes to the aid of Alma, a sentient mechanical arm calling out for help. Alma bonds with Hikaru’s jacket, pulling him into the hidden world of “mechanical arms”—mysterious living weapons that typically integrate directly into a user’s body. Hunted soon after, Hikaru is taken in by Aki Murasame, a twin mechanical-arms wielder affiliated with ARMS, an organization devoted to shielding these beings from exploitation.

Their conflict escalates with the Kagami Group, which views mechanical arms as disposable tools and wants Alma back. ARMS initially judges Hikaru unfit as a wielder, leading to Aki being tasked with protecting him—until Jun Kagami overpowers her and violently rips away her two mechanical limbs, leaving her facing a fatal decline. Refusing to leave Aki behind, Hikaru unexpectedly draws out his own strength to stop Kagami, earning his place within ARMS and setting his sights on uncovering the secrets of mechanical arms while defending the allies he’s gained.
