Synopsis
Freed at last from the compulsions of her Blessing, the former Hero Ruti begins a gentler chapter in the border town of Zoltan, sharing a calm daily life with her assassin housemate, Tisse. She’s also glad to be near her older brother Red again—the apothecary who once served as the Guide of her former Hero’s Party—now enjoying a peaceful, affectionate life alongside Princess Rit, his partner and soon-to-be fiancée.
That hard-won quiet is threatened when a new Hero arrives, guided by a rigid, fundamentalist reading of his own Blessing’s demands. As his convictions collide with Zoltan’s laid-back rhythm, the town’s fragile peace starts to give way to looming conflict and despair.
