Synopsis
Retired E-rank adventurer Belgrieve is running an errand in the forest when he discovers a basket containing an abandoned baby girl. Moved by compassion, he takes her in as his own and names her Angeline, raising her in the quiet countryside.
As she grows, Angeline comes to admire Belgrieve’s swordsmanship and dreams of following the path he once walked. She leaves for the royal capital to become an adventurer, and over the years climbs all the way to S-rank, earning the moniker “Black-Haired Valkyrie.” Even after surpassing her father, she proudly talks him up, exaggerating his deeds and dubbing him the “Red Ogre.”
When Angeline finally prepares to return home, she finds her reunion isn’t so simple—dark forces continue to stand between her and the father she longs to see again.
