Kivotos is a sprawling federal academy metropolis made up of countless schools, overseen by the General Student Council. For all its scholastic trappings, the city is plagued by constant gun-related conflict, and students routinely carry firearms as part of daily life.

When the General Student Council president suddenly vanishes, the balance of Kivotos grows even more precarious. Before disappearing, she brings in Sensei, a teacher enlisted to help students through the mounting turmoil. Sensei’s first assignment leads to Abydos High School—once a respected institution, now reduced to just five students struggling to keep their school afloat while facing a staggering debt nearing one billion yen.
