Protocol: Rain

After a tragedy that took his father’s life and left his sister disabled, Shun Tokinoya distances himself from online gaming, trying to live as a responsible, model student while carrying heavy guilt over his former habits. To help support his family, he works part-time at a cybercafe run by his childhood friend, Nozomi Inatsuki.

Shun’s resolve is shaken when FOX ONE—the esports team owned by Nozomi’s father—suddenly loses all of its players, leaving the Inatsuki family buried in debt. With repayment on the line, Shun reluctantly returns to competitive play by entering the Xaxerion Championship. Teaming up with Nozomi and their classmate Akito Sendou, they set out to rebuild FOX ONE by recruiting new talent—but Shun’s lingering remorse threatens their chances before the tournament even begins.
