Synopsis
Allen, once counted among the brightest hopefuls for a post as royal court sorcerer, sees his plans collapse when he fails the final exam. Penniless and unable even to afford the train home, he’s rescued by an unexpected connection: a former professor who arranges a peculiar new position—private tutor to Tina, the daughter of Duke Howard, one of the kingdom’s most influential nobles.
Tina is a remarkable student, but she carries a decisive disadvantage: she cannot use magic at all.
