Dealing with Mikadono Sisters Is a Breeze

At Saika Academy, the Mikadono sisters—Miwa, Niko, and Kazuki—are celebrated as the “Three Royals,” each a standout in her own arena: shogi, karate, and theater. Their relentless focus has come at a cost, leaving them emotionally distant and barely connected despite sharing the same home.

Yuu Ayase, son of the late Subaru Ayase—a famed actress and Saika alum—arrives as a transfer student with none of his mother’s brilliance, a fact that only heightens others’ expectations and disappointment. Carrying a personal vow to honor Subaru’s final wish of creating a genuine, happy family, Yuu finds an unexpected opening when the Mikadono family patriarch, a longtime friend and supporter of Subaru, offers him a place to live.

Moving in means stepping into a house where the sisters treat him with chilly reserve, but Yuu’s earnest, awkward persistence begins to nudge at the walls between them.
