Synopsis
Fifteen-year-old Kurt Rockhans has never been much of a fighter, yet he’s been traveling with the renowned adventuring party Flaming Dragon Fang as their dependable support. Content to help from the sidelines, Kurt is blindsided when the group casts him out in favor of a stronger combatant, leaving him scrambling to find work simply to get by.
With battle off the table, Kurt takes whatever jobs he can—until one assignment brings him into contact with Yulishia, an adventurer who once served the royal family. Watching him work, she realizes Kurt’s value lies elsewhere: he has extraordinary talent across a wide range of non-combat disciplines. Word reaches a court official, who urges Yulishia to secure Kurt a prestigious position that could guarantee him a quiet, comfortable life.
