Dekin no Mogura: The Earthbound Mole

Kuriaki Magi and Yaeko Kirihara, two university students, find themselves drawn into an extraordinary mystery when they witness a man suffering a seemingly fatal blow to the head—only to see him escape without a scratch. This man, Momoyuki Mogura, reveals a startling truth: he is immortal. As Magi and Yaeko grapple with the reality of Mogura’s condition, they begin to experience strange visions of apparitions, which Mogura explains are the spirits of the deceased.

Mogura has spent years collecting remnants from these spirits, referred to as demon fire, which is said to guide souls to the afterlife. Stripped of the right to carry this fire himself, he enlists the help of Magi and Yaeko in his quest to find more spirits, hoping that, with their assistance, he may finally fulfill his unusual ambition of entering the afterlife. As the trio navigates this peculiar world of the supernatural, they uncover deeper truths about life, death, and the connections that bind them all.
