Uta Sakura, an enthusiastic middle schooler with a passion for singing, finds her life transformed when she crosses paths with Purirun, an adorable fairy from the enchanted realm of KirakiLand. Purirun is on a quest to locate the Legendary Protectors known as "Idol Precure" to restore her home, which has been shrouded in darkness by the nefarious Darkine and the Chokkiri Gang. Driven by her bright spirit, Uta joins Purirun in the search for joyful individuals who can help bring back the light to KirakiLand.

As the Chokkiri Gang wreaks havoc in Hanamichi Town, stealing the townspeople's sparkles, Uta discovers that she can harness the power of her own song to combat the encroaching gloom. Empowered by her determination and newfound abilities, she transforms into Cure Idol, a Legendary Protector ready to battle darkness with the magic of music and friendship. Together with her allies, Uta embarks on an adventure filled with vibrant battles and heartwarming moments, aiming to restore happiness and sparkles to both her town and KirakiLand.
