After averting Japan’s destruction, Akira Takizawa makes a final demand—to be named the “King of Japan”—then wipes his memories again and vanishes. He leaves Saki Morimi with his cellphone and a single hint: “I’ll be waiting where our journey started.”

Six months later, whispers about Akira’s fate draw Saki’s search all the way to New York City. She isn’t alone for long: the remaining Seleção, armed with billions of yen and bound by a mandate to “save Japan,” close in as well. With allies and enemies moving in equal measure, some seek to support Akira’s vision while others plot to remove him and claim their own answer for the country’s future—pushing the ongoing game into a more dangerous, revealing phase.
