HOW TO FIND DENMATES
Open Friends → Find Denmates
Go to Friends and open Find Denmates. Search by name or by what someone is watching, or filter the grid by genre and theme.
Read the taste match
Each person shows a match score, shared shows, and their Otaku Persona if they have one.
Add them
Tap Add friend to send a request. If they had already asked you, you become friends instantly.
Stay in your circle
Accepted friends show up in Your Circle. Their activity appears on your dashboard and Friends feed.
Prefer search? The Browse grid lets you look people up by username, display name, or an anime they're watching. You can also accept pending requests from the Friends page.
KINDRED & PERSONAS
Rank five anime and you'll get matched to an Otaku Persona — one of 25 archetype cards drawn from how you actually watch. On Denmates cards, people who share your persona show a Kindred tag.
Personas are free for everyone. Kindred — the filter that narrows Find Denmates to only people with your archetype — is a Premium perk, along with browsing everyone who shares your persona.
ACTIVITY FEED
Your dashboard and Friends page show a feed of your circle's anime activity. See when they:
- Start watching a new anime
- Complete a series
- Rate an anime
- Create or update a list
You'll also get notifications for friend requests, list follows, and collab invites.
FRIEND RATINGS ON ANIME PAGES
When you view any anime, you'll see how your friends rated it. This helps you:
- Get trusted opinions from people you know
- Discover shows your friends loved
- Compare your taste with theirs
