Easter, Balot, and Oeufcoque finalize their strategy to bring Shell down in court, but the plan hinges on a dangerous step: entering Shell’s own territory, the BlueEgg Casino at the heart of Mardock City. Somewhere inside is a chip containing the memories they need to secure their case.

If they fail to find it, the evidence collapses, the trial is dismissed, and their remaining value disappears—along with their lives. As the search tightens, Balot must stay ahead of Boiled’s increasingly unhinged pursuit while racing to recover the chip before time runs out.
