Eva’s birthday comes and goes without a word from her father, deepening her frustration with the boarding school that keeps her penned in. Refusing to stay put, she makes a break for it on the rocket bike she’s built herself, leaving Earth behind under the assumed name “Molly.”

Hiding her identity, Molly slips onto Earth’s team bound for Alwas to compete in the Great Race—an interstellar contest where victory earns a single wish, granted without exception. But as the team heads into the competition, the promise of that prize is shadowed by dangers they don’t yet see coming.
