After the Yorknew City incident, Leorio Paladiknight and Kurapika pursue reports of a boy with scarlet eyes—hoping he might be a surviving member of the Kurta Clan. Kurapika’s search takes a sudden, brutal turn when he’s attacked by someone who resembles a friend from his childhood, leaving him gravely injured and robbed of both eyes.

With Kurapika in his care, Leorio calls on Gon Freecss and Killua Zoldyck to help recover what was taken. Their investigation draws them into a dangerous collision with the Phantom Troupe, the notorious band of thieves responsible for the Kurta Clan’s massacre five years earlier, and the theft of their rage-brightening scarlet eyes. As the group closes in on the culprit, they’re pulled toward secrets tied to the Troupe’s past—and a mysterious girl whose connection may be at the heart of the case.
