Detective Conan Movie 17: Private Eye in the Distant Sea

In Maizuru Bay, the Aegis Destroyer opens its public training exercises to visitors—an event made more uneasy by recent reports of a suspicious foreign vessel in the area. Conan Edogawa, Ran and Kogorou Mouri, Sonoko Suzuki, and the Detective Boys are among those invited aboard to watch the drills up close.

The day takes a grim turn when a crew member discovers a lieutenant’s severed left arm, pulling Conan into a case that reaches far beyond a single crime scene. As he uncovers signs that a foreign spy may have slipped onto the warship to steal sensitive intelligence, the stakes become national: a leak could compromise Japan’s defenses. Working alongside maritime police while allies search for leads on the mainland, Conan races to expose the infiltrator and stop the crisis from escalating.
