Shakugan no Shana: The Movie

Crimson Denizens and the Rinne—creatures from a parallel realm—feed on the “existences” of humans, threatening the balance between worlds. Standing against them are the Flame Hazes, warriors tasked with tracking these predators down and repairing the distortions they leave behind.

Yuuji Sakai knows nothing of any of it until an ordinary school morning abruptly stops around him: time seems to freeze, and he alone can move as a Rinne begins consuming the people nearby. When the monster turns on him, he’s saved by a katana-wielding Flame Haze with blazing red hair. After restoring what was damaged, she reveals the truth—Yuuji has already died and now exists as a Torch, a fading remnant destined to disappear from memory. Worse, he is a Mystes, a Torch that contains an unknown treasure coveted by the Denizens, and she chooses to stay close as his guardian. Faced with his limited future, Yuuji struggles to accept what he’s become and decides to make the most of the time he has left.
