In a far-future world, a unique life form known as Houseki emerges, composed entirely of gem-like beings. These 28 distinct Houseki, each embodying various qualities and attributes, face a grave threat from the Tsukijin, mysterious adversaries intent on capturing them to transform them into decorative objects. Within this striking landscape, every gem is assigned a crucial role, whether as a warrior or a healer, to defend their existence against these relentless foes.

Among them is Phos, a gem yearning for purpose and adventure, yet initially left without a specific role. When Kongo, the overseer of the Houseki, tasks her with creating a natural history magazine, Phos embarks on a journey of self-discovery that intertwines with the larger battle against the moon-dwelling enemies. As she navigates her new assignment, Phos begins to uncover the deeper mysteries of her world and her own potential.
