Following Aichi Sendou's valiant victory over the Link Joker, Toshiki Kai is under the impression that peace has been restored. However, during a routine stop at Card Capital, he is bewildered to find that Aichi has been forgotten by everyone around him. Determined to unveil the mystery behind his friend's sudden absence, Kai embarks on a quest for answers.

In his search at Aichi's former high school, Kai experiences a vision of Blaster Blade, Aichi's beloved Vanguard unit. In an unexpected turn, he finds Aichi's Royal Paladin deck appearing in his hands. Utilizing these cherished cards, Kai engages Aichi's former allies in battles that rekindle their memories of his friend’s profound influence. As they regain their recollections, they unite with Kai to embark on a mission to locate Aichi and bring him back, no matter the challenges that lie ahead.
