Baccano!

In early 1930s Chicago, the transcontinental train Flying Pussyfoot sets off on a fateful run that will leave a bloody mark across the country. Meanwhile in New York, the driven scientist Szilard and his reluctant assistant Ennis search for missing bottles of an immortality elixir as tensions between rival mafia factions continue to rise. Far earlier, aboard the Advena Avis in 1711, a group of alchemists begins to discover what immortality truly costs.

Adapted from the award-winning light novels, Baccano! weaves together incidents that seem disconnected across time and place, gradually revealing a larger tale of alchemy, survival, and eternal life. Linking many of these threads are Isaac and Miria, warmhearted would-be thieves whose paths intersect with people carrying their own ambitions and secrets—sparking bonds and consequences that ripple outward.
