Synopsis
Set three years before the TV broadcast, *Beyond the Boundary: Daybreak* serves as episode zero, focusing on Hiroomi Nase as he’s assigned to restrain Akihito Kanbara—an infamous hybrid of human and youmu.
Unable to resist finding out what her brother is up to, Mitsuki Nase follows along, leading to the siblings’ first encounter with Akihito. Their mission quickly grows more complicated when it becomes clear others are also searching for him, setting the stage for the events of *Kyoukai no Kanata*.
