Shushu, a girl raised under the belief that she would one day become a wereman like her father, discovers a shocking truth: she is, in fact, female and cannot fulfill her lifelong dream. Determined to gain certification as a wereman and allow her father to retire, she enrolls in Monster Academy, where creatures of all kinds come to learn. Here, she encounters Juzu, the timid son of the monster king, whose reputation for being fearsome is belied by his gentle nature and desire for friendship.

As Shushu navigates her new environment, her true identity is revealed to Juzu, leading to an unexpected bond. With the attention of her peers now focused on her and Juzu, the quiet life she had hoped for slips away, thrusting her into a whirlwind of school adventures and social challenges.
