Fifth-grader Toriyasu and his younger sister Meeko are heartbroken over the disappearance of their beloved dog, Papadoll, who has been missing for a week. Their search takes an unexpected turn one night when they are whisked away by two cats to the enchanting yet perilous realm of Banipal Witt. Here, they discover that Papadoll has undergone a startling transformation into a massive dog monster, wreaking havoc under the sinister influence of Princess Buburina, a villainess cursed to turn anyone she touches into balloons.

With time running out, Toriyasu, Meeko, and their feline companions must navigate this whimsical yet dangerous world to save Papadoll and the ballooned citizens before dawn arrives. As they embark on this adventure, they confront challenges that test their bravery and ingenuity, all while racing against the clock to restore normalcy and find their way back home.
