In an ordinary moment, Suzuko's day takes a harrowing turn when she accompanies a young boy, Shu, home from school. Their journey is abruptly interrupted by a devastating gas explosion, thrusting Suzuko into an unfamiliar and violent world—the Sengoku period, where chaos reigns amidst the remnants of battle. Instead of succumbing to the tragedy, she awakens on a grim battlefield littered with the fallen.

As she navigates this new reality, Suzuko encounters Shukumaru, a resourceful boy scavenging for supplies to support his starving village. He intervenes to protect her from a group of ruthless bandits, and together they return to his village. However, Suzuko remains steadfast in her quest to find Shu, visiting the battlefield daily with Shukumaru at her side. Despite their contrasting backgrounds, an unexpected bond begins to form, hinting at a deeper connection as they face the trials of this tumultuous era.
