Synopsis
The Holy Britannian Empire expands its dominion through overwhelming military force, and Japan becomes one of its conquered territories. After the Second Pacific War in 2010, the nation is left in ruins and stripped of its identity, derisively redesignated as Area 11.
Amid the occupation, student Lelouch Lamperouge harbors a deep-seated hatred for Britannia and quietly plots rebellion. His plans take a sudden turn when he encounters the enigmatic C.C., who bestows upon him Geass—a supernatural power that compels those he commands to obey without resistance. With that ability, Lelouch adopts the masked identity Zero, emerging as a symbol for the oppressed and a catalyst for revolution against the empire.
