Akihiro, a teenage boy with a vivid imagination, is eagerly anticipating a date with his girlfriend, Miyuki. However, his plans take an unexpected turn when he discovers a mysterious carpet on his journey home. From this enchanted fabric emerges Malon, a lively and spirited girl from the fantastical realm of Phantasia. Intrigued by her charm and the allure of her world, Akihiro finds himself drawn to Malon, who expresses a desire to stay with him.

As their interactions unfold, the initial excitement begins to wane, particularly as Akihiro becomes increasingly frustrated with Malon’s magical antics. Complicating matters further is Roll, a deranged wizard intent on eliminating Malon, which adds an unforeseen layer of tension to Akihiro's life.
