At Star Harmony Academy, Aine Yuuki is just an ordinary student navigating her daily life until she encounters Mio Minato, a vibrant member of the idol division. Captivated by Mio's enthusiasm, Aine is inspired to join the world of Aikatsu, a journey that promises friendship and self-discovery. Alongside her new companions, Maika Chōno and Ema Hinata, who also share the aspiration to shine as idols, Aine embarks on an exciting adventure filled with music and camaraderie.

Together, Aine and Mio form a dynamic duo known as the "Diamond Friends," aiming to support each other in their quest for stardom and deeper connections. Their journey intertwines with that of other aspiring idols, such as the established "Diamond Friends," Karen Kamishiro and Mirai Asuku, who are part of the elite Diamond Class.
