Synopsis
Private Hyakunosuke Ogata of the 7th Division and former Shinsengumi vice commander Toshizou Hijikata arrive in Barato chasing the same rumor: the Hidoro gang is said to be holding the tattooed skin of an escaped prisoner. What begins as a search for a vital clue quickly pulls them onto opposing sides of a brewing gang conflict.
With the trail to the hidden Ainu gold seemingly within reach, both men are ready to fight for the advantage. But when betrayal enters the fray, each side is forced to reconsider the cost of acting too quickly—and whether their next move will secure the lead or destroy it.
