In a quaint town filled with charm, Haruka Hoshinogawa cherishes a special cherry blossom ribbon gifted by her grandfather beneath the town's venerable cherry tree. As she embarks on her fifth-grade journey, she discovers that the once-thriving tree begins to wither, prompting her grandfather to leave their shop in her care while he ventures out into the world. One night, Haruka awakens to a surprising discovery: her beloved ribbon has hatched a peculiar egg, revealing a Cocotama named Ribbon—a divine being born from the love and care imbued in cherished objects.

As Haruka navigates her responsibilities at the shop and her new friendship with Ribbon, she learns about the enchanting world of Cocotamas and the significant role she is destined to play. The appearance of a mysterious key, known as the Key of Wonders, sets them on a path of adventure, where they will not only meet other Cocotamas but also uncover the secrets of their magical abilities. Together, Haruka and Ribbon embrace their journey of friendship and discovery, blending the ordinary with the extraordinary in their everyday lives.
