After the National Middle School Tennis Tournament, 12-year-old tennis sensation Ryouma Echizen embarks on a journey to the United States, eager to elevate his game. Along the way, he becomes determined to uncover the truth behind his father’s premature retirement from professional tennis. Known as "Samurai Nanjiro," Ryouma's father was a celebrated player whose career ended dramatically after the US Open finals, leaving Ryouma with unanswered questions and a desire to learn more about that pivotal moment.

Fortuitously, a mysterious occurrence whisks Ryouma and his classmate, Sakuno Ryuzaki, back in time to witness the fateful match firsthand. While the initial atmosphere seems ordinary, the sudden emergence of the mafia adds an unexpected layer of complexity to their quest. With the stakes rising, Ryouma must navigate this intriguing predicament, determined to piece together the events leading to his father’s retirement and, against all odds, change the course of history for his family.
